The Essential Herbal ~ Under The Sun
We are in the 13th year of publication here at The Essential Herbal Magazine. The first several years were filled with wonderful stuff, but the audience was limited. Most of those issues sold out long ago. So we took the 15 spring and summer issues from those 5 years (Mar/Apr, May/June, and July/Aug), and put them together into a truly fabulous book. Over 200 pages, sized 8.5 x 11, filled with all the things readers have come to expect from The Essential Herbal. We reworked some of the early stuff, combined things into reasonable chapters - like "The Stillroom", "The Kitchen", "Just Weeds", and "Herbal First Aid", and added a few surprises. There are articles on gardening, favorite backyard remedies, wild eats, and tons of crafting ideas.
An Elder Gathering
Come along and join us, a group of long-time friends, as we share our favorite uses for elder flowers and berries.
We've even got a few uses for leaves and wood! Learn about growing, harvesting, preserving, making medicine, delicious dishes and tantalizing teas all using this very versatile native plant.
Over 30 recipes, remedies and crafts are included, along with light-hearted folklore and good lots of pictures to
help you identify Elder.
We're certain that soon you'll love the Elder as much as we do, and be finding a place for one (or more) in your yard or garden.
40 pages, 8 1/2 x 5 1/2.

Making Balms & Salves with The Twisted Sisters
In this DVD, we go through the processes of infusing an oil, making lip balm, lotion bars, and salves. We make one of each of these, and the viewer will have the understanding to go to making his/her own after seeing how it is done.
We have a little fun along the way, and show you how easy it is to do! Suppliers are listed inside the jacket, as well as some suggested projects.
Make Soap with the Twisted Sisters
In this informal DVD, we prepare cold-process soap and explain the process as we work - from beginning to end. We list some suppliers and an on-line calculator for checking your formula before soaping it, and give you a recipe for your first batch. Our main goal is to make our students comfortable enough with the soap making process and especially to banish the "fear of lye" so that they will feel able to make soap themselves if they wish.
